Permission requests for use of Gavin’s copyrighted works

The following permission request usage policy was in place prior to, but was publicly released on, Mon. 14 Sept. 2020, Holy Cross Day (on the Calendar of the Anglican 1662 Book of Common Prayer), and it applies retrospectively.

Free Usage Policy: Jesus said, “Freely ye have received, freely give” (St. Matthew 10:8). While this does not mean that all Christian ministry is necessarily unpaid, and indeed Holy Scripture also teaches the proper and lawful place for a paid Christian Ministry (I Corinthians 9:13,14; I Timothy 5:17,18, quoting St. Luke 10:7); by the grace of God, (Mr.) Gavin Basil McGrath (b. 1960) is able to provide all his works on the internet as free downloads, so that any user may make copies of that which is on Gavin’s website at his own expense. A user may also use excerpts from any works found on Gavin’s internet site, and may copy and/or distribute such excerpts freely, or quote them in any other work, providing only that he remain inside any applicable legal requirements, and give full proper credit for these to Gavin from the work or works quoted. Gavin humbly petitions in Christian charity that any user so availing himself of this usage or citation freedom, never cite or use his works unfairly so as to misrepresent him, or in such a way as to seek by any means to take from him his free proclamation and dissemination of that which in good conscience he believes he cannot surrender. “For we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ” (II Corinthians 5:10); “So then every one shall give account of himself to God” (Romans 14:12).
